Bivy Stick reviews?

Has anyone used a Bivy Stick and has an opinion on its usefulness, etc. We are in the midst of considering what sort of satellite to go with for crossings and there are just so many choices. I’m hesitant to go fully into Iridium Go due to the cost, as we would love to hop on the Starlink train when that becomes available.

We’d need it mainly for routing and checking as well as the odd text to family.

I bought a Bivy Stick from ACR for a recent trip to the Bahamas. When it worked it was good. However, I encountered the following issues:
1. The Bluetooth connection to my phone was frequently dropped.
2. The Bivy phone app is very sluggish.
3. My tracking for family and friends occasionally stopped so they could not determine my location.
4. Sending text messages to family and friends was inconsistent.
5. The Bivy app drains the phone battery excessively.

For future trips I'll probably not rely on it.
