Xantrex Freedom XC install

Hi, I am hoping someone can help me with this install. We currently purchased a Xantrex Freedom XC 2000 watt inverter/charger. We do not have an inverter currently (only a Genset) and our existing charger has run its course (original to our boat) I was able to install the DC portion, as well as the AC input and the unit is currently working as a charger. However, I am at a loss as to how to hook up the AC output in order to get the inverter to function. Any suggestions? Do I just run a wire back to the main AC circuit breaker on the panel? Do I need a switch to “chose” the inverter? I’m a newb with some electrical experience. Any help is appreciated. (BTW, we cannot seem to get an electrician here (booked for months out) and everyone I speak to says its and easy DIY.)

Did you get a manual with the I/C? Most installation manuals come with wiring OPTIONS.


If not, go to the Xantrex website and download yours. Then you can begin to ask more specific questions.
