Summer Storage

Hello - We are putting our boat on the hard for the summer. Right now my plan is to just keep the battery switch on "ALL" for the duration and that's it.
This boat has 4 solar panels that have the potential of providing 420 amps.
Is there anything wrong with this plan?
The 5 batts are new AGM Group 31s. The boat is stored in Florida during the summer.
Thanks

Re: Summer Storage

Make **sure** loads are inactive.

Dial Absorb and Float down to a setpoint right at the bottom of the Float range recommended by the batt specs, maybe a point or two lower

Only with a well trusted quality controller.

Remember to reset it to active duty cycling setpoints when the time comes.

Personally I prefer to visit every few weeks.

Water, for those with flooded

Re: Summer Storage

Suggest you just disconnect all batteries, charge them with battery charger the day before you leave and store them in a cool, dry place. Leaving boat in FL, you should disconnect the solar panels and store them below deck. Thunderstorms and hurricanes like to smash solar panels
