RF noise from wind generator

Our wind generator puts out 3 phase AC ( Windforce 600w.) At certain rpm's and on certain freqs., the noise on the VHF makes the radio unusable. On the HF radio the problem is less pronounced but still there. In the case of the HF, you can turn off the generator when you need to use the radio but no so with the VHF
The manufacture says this problem is inherent with an AC generator and there is nothing to be done about it.
We used to have a AIR X wind generator which is also an AC generator. The noise was there but not a problem, pretty much. The Air X had an internal controller but the Sunforce has an external controller The power leads from the Sunforce generator travel probably 10' to the controller, inside a metal tube all except for the last 2'.
If we had known of this problem with the Sunforce, we would not have bought it but that is water under the bridge.
Are there any ideas on how to cut down on the noise?

Re: RF noise from wind generator

Does your VHF coax Antenna cable run next to your Wind gen. cables or close proximity of your generator itself, possible EMF?
I have a D400 with 2 VHFs and HF. The VHF in the cockpit does have some white noise at times and I put it down to the fact that the antenna and its coax cable does run close to the generator power leads, plus the antenna is only 6 feet away from the Wind Gen. Other VHF and HF have no issue.

Re: RF noise from wind generator

Try twisting any wires from the wind gen to controller to start. this will help shield the wireing and prevent them from radiating an rf signal.
