Inverter Interference

I bought an AIMS 300W Pure Sine wave inverter to power my flat screen TV that draws 155W. I use an antenna for the signal. If the TV is connected to the normal power source I get a nice strong signal however if I try to use the inverter the signal drops to zero. If I have the TV running on normal power and I plug any other appliance into the inverter, even if it is off, the TV signal drops to zero.
I thought powering my TV from the inverter would be a simple thing but if I must do all the expensive things I am reading about I will just forget about it.
All this RFI stuff is never talked about when we are sold solar panels, batteries, inverters, and the installation; I am very disappointed.

George, grab two toroidal ferrite cores and wrap input and output wires around them a couple of times as close to the inverter as possible. If this helps, you have a cheap solution. If not, replace the inverter with a different model/brand. Some are horrible... Best to go shopping where you can actually try several different ones.
