If you wish to order a new XT alternator with the modification, you can order this from your normal Balmar reseller. You should not order directly from a web page, as the part will need to be fulfilled from us, and not from dealer stock. Rather, talk to you dealer, and ask them to add a "SP" on the end of the part number when they order from us, AND include instructions that the alternator is to be shipped with the "3YM30" modification. It is important that both of these steps are followed.

Old thread, but newish question. Will a (modified) XT-DF-250-J10 fit onto a 3YM30?

Dale has retired, and I do not know the answer. Are the two alternators in the same case and the same size? I think you should ask Balmar about this. Chris might know the answer.
