Balmar 90-100 with ARS II

Hello,

I have two Balmar 90-100 amp altentors with an external Balmar ARS II external regulator.

With the engine running at 1800 rpm for each test and ARS II two green lights on. Each test ran for 1 hour.

Altnentor 1:
• With external regualtor connected, 14.25 volts and 20 amps output.
• Remove Field wire and jump to postive termial - only 20 amps output.
• Potential diode issue????

Altnentor 2:
• With external regualtor connected, 14.25 volts and 20 amps output same as Altnentor 1.
• Remove Field wire and jump to postive termial - getting 65 amps output.
• External regulator issue or settings???

• When the ARSII yellow light is on, zero amp output with LiPO4 batteries at 60% SOC.

Field voltage
• From a Balmar manual, field voltage appears to be from 2 to 12 volts.
• Haven’t measure this value yet.
• Field voltage input above correct???
• Is the Field voltage linear to the amps output???

I would like to solve the issues without having buy a new expensive external regulator.
