New in March 2022. Opened box to inspect but never used. Paid $1,100 to
East Coast Battery in Ft. Lauderdale. Asking $700 for both (cash preferred). Will be around Stuart, FL this week (anchored near Mariott/Stuart Beach Causeway/Publix).
We bought it last year as an upgrade for our
Westerbeke. Had it imported over to George Town and sheared off the mounting bolt trying to get the old and dying
alternator off. Tried tapping, drilling, cruisers net, all no luck. Came back to the States the next day: shorty belt from NAPA turning flywheel &
water pump only, &
charging batteries with the
generator, praying to make it back, and the 'Beke threw a rod crossing the
Gulf Stream.
Now we have a shiny new Beta 50, a shiny new
alternator that doesn't fit on it, and no
money. Haha!
Our loss is your gain. We had the alternator/regulator combo on the Treasure Coast CL but are leaving Vero tomorrow. Heading down to the Jensen Beach/Stuart area for a few days.
I'll leave this up for a little bit, update location, and see what comes of it. If we still have it at the end of the season, we'll be more amenable to
shipping it as we'll be in a place for some time.
