General Info: Surveyor recommendations for a Lagoon in Ft Lauderdale area?

I have a Lagoon 42 under contract and we need to get a survey done in the next few weeks if possible.

Looking for recommendations on a surveyor in the Ft Lauderdale area as I don't have any contacts in that area.

Thanks in advance and hopeful to become a new Lagoon owner in the near future! Coming over from a monohull background!

(next up will be any ideas on where to keep the boat in that area for a few weeks until the weather warms to bring it north)

I don't typically suggest anyone, but in this case:

The best surveyor company around in that area is " suenos azules"
Suenos Azules Marine Surveying and Consulting - Palm Beach Gardens, Florida
His name is John Banister.
He is typically booked far in advance, but try him.
None better imo.

Thank you all for the replies. I was able to book with Jonathan Sands within our time frame. Hopeful for a clean survey and becoming a new Lagoon owner in the next few weeks!

Hopefully you will be attending the survey and sea trial - there will be things on the boat for sure that you will have questions about and best to ask him there and then.

Yes I am. It is something that I always ask of a surveyor if I can shadow and ask questions during.
