450: Steering Rack Corrosion

Hello All,
I recently discovered corrosion on the steering rack bearings or bushings. Pic attached. I would like to know f any other lagoon owner has had to have this replaced? Where to get one and how to replace it. Thanks in-advance!

Is that photo a close up of the Steering Wheel hub?

If so mine appears to have a Lip Seal behind the S/S Wheel Hub.

If not do you have a wider angel photo of the area of concern.

Yes that is a closeup of the seal or bearing behind the hub. I can get a wider angle pic if you need it.

Mine has a neoprene Lip oil seal behind the wheel on the shaft,
My best guess would be that that is protecting a roller bearing or bush in the Aluminum casting held to the fiberglass by 3 bolts.

Have you taken the wheel off to get a better look?

If you need to replace seal or bearing take them to a bearing and seal supplier and they should be able to supply replacements.

Remember It is French so they will be metric.
