General Info: Interpreting The Lagoon HIN Number

As a relatively new Lagoon owner, I am interested in having the Hull Identification Number (HIN) on my vessel explained to me. I have checked several web sites which claim to provide an explanation, but none of these have allowed me to make any sense of my HIN.
If there is someone who would be kind enough to interpret the following HIN for me, that would be much appreciated.

FR = France
CNB = Lagoon Shipyard

40 = Model Number
033 = 33rd hull of this model

1 = Month manufacture. I = September (That's a capital '"i" not a "one"_
9 = Last digit of Year of Manufacture so 2009 (unless it was 1999 )
10 = Model Year = 2010 (a bit like cars model years are not calendar years they run from Aug - Jul and are numbered by the end year of the period)

AFAIK the digits named "Month / year of boat availablity" refer to the date the hull layup was started. Since it takes a while to finish the boat this date is a few months before launch.

Special thanks to StuM who interpreted my HIN for me in detail. Now that I know that what I read as a "one" is in fact an "eye", I can now also see the answer in the diagram a number of you provided labelled "a-story-of-a-number".

My HIN indeed refers to a Lagoon 400, and I now know it is a 2010 model, which was launched in late 2009.
