Customizing Heads/Showers and Replacing Faucets?

Does anyone here have any suggestions for customizing Lagoon heads? We have a 2005 Lagoon 440 owner's layout. I'm thinking of:

- Removing the vanity, medicine cabinet and replacing them with something a bit nicer.
- Opening up the bulkhead between the shower and the head (perhaps doing a cut-away) and putting frosted glass in there.

Also, any suggestions regarding faucets for the shower and sink? They're pretty corroded and I'd like to replace them.

Thanks!

Fair Winds,
Myles

Frankly, I would keep glass panels to a minimum on a boat. I should hate to lose my balance and fall through one in rough seas.

Of course. I'd use 1/2" (at a minimum) safety glass, lexan or plexi.

We investigated replacing the faucets for the shower and sink in our "owners 440 2007" and discovered they were metric. Since the vessel is located in the BVI we ordered new from Lagoon. I was pleasantly surprised to find they were reasonably priced and of course fit the existing mounting holes.

Hi Dzwinters,

How did you order the parts? Was it by phone or website?

Thanks!

Fair Winds,
Myles

The Catamaran Company, a Lagoon dealer, has a base on Tortola managed by Marianne. She is great and we had them in a couple of weeks. We also ordered new cushion covers thru Marianne. The cost was comparable to having the covers made on island and the quality was significantly better.

Ah, ok. Another option, from my understanding, is to order through Beneteau -- they share many of the same parts.
