Re: Looking For Sailing Partner,

As a frequent reader of the joke thread I recognize and appreciate Coops contributions. Speaking of which, not sure that this whole thread isn't a joke!

Re: Looking For Sailing Partner,

Picture of boat? Why not 52 to 62?
Why is it that the lady sailor must be younger? if you are a women, get your own boat!
The best boat to go sailing, the one you own, that is finished!

Re: Looking For Sailing Partner,

I am out in the boat shed sucking polyester fumes so not sure how much sense this will make, but there is something to be said for finding someone of your own generation. Just sayin'.
Good luck with your boat project. These things(boat projects) can be a long slog.
Like the "black runs" idea. My wife will only tackle the blues. So not much skiing together unfortunately.
I am actually considering going north for winter and camping in my boat in the ski resort parking lot. Then in summer maybe even further north.
Like I said sucking fumes, mind sort of wanders.
Luv the razzing your getting.
David_Old_ Jersey You make me laugh, could be the fumes, not sure.
Where was I, Oh yeah........

Re: Looking For Sailing Partner,

I hope it's a joke thread. I'm laughing for sure. If it's not then why are we beating around the bush? Pun intended. Perhaps some women (oh wait.... girls were requested.... guess I don't qualify) tolerate this sort of request but I find it demeaning and condescending. And not afraid to say it.

Re: Looking For Sailing Partner,

you have way too much time on your hands. perhaps you could use it more constructively by looking up the definitions of 'demeaning' and 'condescending'. I build my boat because I know what I want and I don't compromise on core values. same for all other areas of my life.

and no, I don't see this a razzing. people feel the need to chime into a thread that they have nothing to contribute to, other than adolescent attempts at humor. one must just wade through the shells to find the pearl...

again, thanks for the thread bump

Re: Looking For Sailing Partner,

I honestly look forward to not wearing heels everyday, cutting my hair into a pixie and applying sunscreen instead of mascara. Flip flops, cuttoffs, and a hat. Sounds like heaven. Till then, I'll have to continue to meet the standards set in a professional corporate setting. So I can continue to indulge in my shoe habit... A few more years and I can stop shaving armpits and join bohemian lifestyle. Maybe I'll even get some patchouli! Haha!

Re: Looking For Sailing Partner,

Hi Rob

Can't believe you didn't get one girl response, too bad I don't fit into your age criteria or better said too bad you are not 62 .....

Re: Looking For Sailing Partner,

I think it is the age requirement. To have such a age requirement usually indicates children. My children were grown at 40 because I was a child bride. Now I am older and wiser.
