cruising Lake Superior

Looking for competent sailor to join my wife and I on our large tri. We plan to cruise Lake Superior during August and Lake Michigan during Sept. This will be a good way to escape the heat. Thanks Dan

Re: cruising Lake Superior

Have you decided whether to cruise the Canadian North shore of Superior, or the US Southern shore?

Hi Dan, we'll be heading out for five weeks, leaving mid-August. Not sure where we're headed yet, but the north and east (Pukaskwa) shore always draw us in. Perhaps we'll see you out there.

Re: cruising Lake Superior

Hey,

I'm very interested in this depending on what dates you're looking at? Can you send me a message with a few more details regarding when you're leaving and from where? Also, would you be able to drop me somewhere I could return to Madison from before the trip is up as I have to get back to school.

Cheers,
Greg

Re: cruising Lake Superior

Mike: As of now we are planning to leave Thunder Bay to Isle Royale, stay a few days then leave to Grand Marais for a week, from there we will head across the lake to the Apostel Islands for a couple of weeks, then we plan to put the boat up on the hard in Bayfield for the winter. In Nov. I am hoping to find a boat that needs a hard working retired couple to join them as crew. I am still looking for 1 or 2 competent sailors to join us on Lake Superior. Dan

Good Morning Dan & Pat;
Good to here you are on your way out of Thunder Bay. It was a year ago that we try to do this.
