For Sale: Spinnaker Halyard

100 ft long, Dacron double braid, white spinnaker halyard. Was on the boat about three years, before I replaced it with a smaller diameter halyard and smaller shackle. It is in very good condition – still soft, no wear spots – looks unused. (Makes sense as it was a charter boat with no spinnaker!) Seawind says the spec for this halyard is “33 m of 12 MM double braid with large stainless steel snap shackle.” I measured the diameter, and it looks like 1/2 in nominal (which 12 MM is 7.6/16th inch, so that makes sense). Large snap shackle does not have manufacturer markings, but Seawind is not known to use cheap stuff.

For price, Defender sells Samson Trophy Braid for $1 per foot for 7/16 in diameter. Plus $20 for an eye splice, $10 for the reeving eye, and another $40 for a snap shackle this size – total cost would be at least $170. I will sell it for $75, plus shipping. Should stuff into one of those flat rate boxes at USPS.
