Unfortunately parting out this Alden
ketch 1961 built by Hodgdon Brothers of East Boothbay,
Maine. Beautiful
boat (horn timber issues) that has a great rig and newly rebuilt
Westerbeke 63hp
engine. This is a bit of a monumental task that I am just embarking on. So, with that said, I'll start with the bigger items.
Ketch rig: (Sitka spruce)
Main
mast (approx 56'). Mizzen
mast (approx 33')
All 3 booms including self tending staysail boom.
Includes all (bronze)
hardware.
All standing
rigging and spreaders.
All 4
sails in good condition.
No
roller furling or running
rigging.
$10,000.
Engine:
Westerbeke W63B4 (63hp 4cyl.)
This is a brand new total
rebuild (by Motive of Long Island) with all the whistle and bells. Starter,
Alternator, Pumps,
Gear...
Selling whole system from intake to
exhaust.
I have the original panel, but needs a new one.
Motor was rebuilt 2009 (Motive invoice is for $13,000) and set back in
boat and never hooked up.
I have all the paperwork,
manuals spare filters belts...
2 year warranty is to original purchaser (perhaps negotiated w/ Motive).
$9,500.
*Items will be available in June for pick up only, as the boat is at the back of the shed and will have to wait until everyone else is out of the way...
Not interested in selling parts/pieces of these two listings at this time.
There will be many more things to sell, but too much to list just now.
Will consider selling whole boat for $25K.
Boat is located near
New York City. SHOWN BY APPOINTMENT ONLY!
