Want To Buy: Magnum ME-RC50 remote display

The LCD of my Magnum Charger/Inverter remote control (model ME-RC50) is busted! I am looking to buy any used unit to replace or repair my existing remote.

Unit could be shipped to California or Philippines.

Why not contact Magnum?

I did contact Magnum directly and their first reaction was "sorry these are not repairable .. see any of our dealers to buy a new unit .. "

My reply to them was that I was sorry that equipment "made proudly in the USA" had to be tossed in the dumb because of $5 part (the small LCD) was defective. This morning, I got a step in the right direction when they said I could send it back to them for evaluation ....

I asked them if I could purchase the part so I could have it installed here in the Philippines where I am at the moment. A better solution that send my remote away for week, paying freight both way ... all that with little chance they can fix it! ... I am waiting for their reply ...

I figured, it would not be a bad idea to buy a used to have as spare if I can repair this one or to cannibalize the LCD to repair my actual unit ...

That will be a very responsible and responsive thing for them to do. Let's hope for the best.
