Concerning the liferaft, what is ment by "out of service"? Also, what are the dimensions of the clamshell?

It is time for it to be repacked. I will measure and report back next trip to the internet cafe. Off hand I would say it is about 24" X 36" X 12". I will also furnish the brand name.

Not meaning to hijack, just to complement the posting Assuming the liferaft in question is a "canister" type, If anyone is interested, I have a s/s cradle that'll fit a (Switlik 6 person) canister liferaft I used to have that failed inspection.
Fair winds!
