And I thought juggling TWO invisible flames was dangerous....

Re: Kerosene Stove

I'd stay away from an alcohol stove. They just don't put out much heat.

Really like kerosene for its heat output and safety but burners may be hard to find. Would test any stove that you find to be sure that it works before buying. Had a two burner with oven Shipmate that my wife baked some outstanding meals on. Currently have a two burner with grill Taylor for my more limited cooking.

Agreed. The reason I am also looking for a pressurized alcohol is that I can convert it to Kero.
Point well made. I cooked with kerosene daily for over 10 years with no problems whatsoever. But then I sold the boat and the stove was gone...

Re: Kerosene Stove

Research the price of 4 new top burners (you always need a spare) and an oven burner, and you may find that even if free, converting an alcohol stove may not be a bargain. I agree that kerosene is much better. _____Grant.
