Hunter Passage 42 Wanted

Hunter Passage 42

Hi all , this is my first post , so might as well look for my next boat right here,

Im Looking for a Hunter Passage 42 , between the years 1990 to 1998 , I think that was the best years from all that I have read on the Internet and forums.

I have a budget of $ 80,000 maybe a bit more if I find the right boat , she can be a basic boat with out any huge upgrades . low engine hours would be nice, and a good set of sails . Basically good bones .

Must be on the east coast of North America

Please let me know if you have one .

Happy sailing

Hi there, There is one on Yachtworld in the Chesapeake for $107000. Not sure if he would take $80 000 but in todays market there's a good chance .

Good luck finding one .

Regards

Re: Hunter Passage 42 Wanted

Thanks for the heads up , Im looking for a boat closer to original, without davits or poles screwed into the deck.

I think they built more then 200 hundred of this model there must be one like that out there.

Just wanted to say you've chosen a great boat. Ours is on the Rio can't wait to get back to her in the spring. She was a good boat when we purchased in 2008 and after our upgrades we consider her a great boat. Takes us all the places we want to go. If you want to take a look S/V WAHOO: About WAHOO

Is your boat for sale? I also have my boat on Marco, at Factory Bay. There is a Hunter 42 Passage at this marrina also, I have never seen it move or even a sole on board, I hate to see a nice boat being covered with bird droppings.

We have a 1994 Passage42 and are in the Rio Dulce now. We plan to return to Fort Pierce, Fl in March 2013. We will put the boat up for sale sometime this year. We have an almost new mainsail, good foresail, new chart plotter, new VHF radio with AIS built in.

If you are interested in seeing it and haven't found one before we return, contact me at "budmccall@hotmail.com"

Re: Hunter Passage 42 Wanted

I have to say, Your post inspired me to log onto yacht world and review a bunch of passage 42's currently on the market. I have always loved the live-ability of this boat given its relative low cost for a 42 foot boat. It is laid out exceptionally well. Both staterooms are comfy looking and highly inviting. The galley and nav station are great looking too. Will someone please remind me of why these boats are so heavily despised?

Located in Florida at the moment but we are heading to the DR shortly. We will be back in Florida next year to possibly sell the boat. My wife seasickness is the biggest problem but she keeps coming back for more.
