Katadyn Pur 80 Watermaker for sale.

I'm again offering my watermaker for sale.

With 100 gallon tanks I found it easier to fill them when stopping for fuel. I was also concerned with running it unless near an inlet with an incoming tide. I did run it for 3 months this spring while anchored near Lake Worth inlet and produced 6 gallons every other day. It puts out 3.7 gal. / hr. and my solar and wind gen. would more than keep up with the draw. Very simple unit to install.
It has been pickled correctly and comes with everything you see here.
I'm in Titusville or could deliver anywhere between here and Ocala FL.
$2000 firm plus shipping.

Does it use seacocks?

I had a dedicated thru-hull that previously supplied an A/C pump. Then downstream a fine screen pre filter. That feeds strained seawater to the included paper filter then the membrane.
You'll find excellent discussions here on CF about how to feed seawater to a water maker.
Thanks,
Rick

Yes and no. No spares but a bag of biocide I'll include. The unit has only been used within a mile of an inlet (Ft. Pierce, Lake Worth) and only at incoming tides.

I pickled it 2 weeks ago after running 5 gallons of non chlorinated spring water through it. It's ready to ship.

I think those WM's can tee into an existing seacock

I've probably put 70-100 hrs. on it but I bought it here on CF second hand so I'm unsure on total hrs. Everything I've learned here told me they like to be run on a regular basis. My usage singlehanded amounted to 3 gallons a day.

Therefore I'd run it for an hour and a half every other day filling up a blue 6 gal. jug. The manual advises to run it at least once a week to keep the critters from sitting too long inside the membrane.
It also says it can share an intake.

Go to the plumbing section here and do a search. Or ask Tellie, he's one of the gurus on the subject.

In addition to Tellie, don't forget about member ishipaco (Gary Albers.) There isn't anything worth knowing about Katadyn watermakers that ishipaco hasn't already encountered, figured out, solved, or otherwise dealt with . . . probably several times, already . . . and taught to other cruisers. Here's his website:
