For Sale: Cape Dory 30

We are selling our Cape Dory 30 which we have enjoyed sailing all around New England. The boat is currently located in Gloucester, MA and available for viewing. This particular boat is the ketch model which is identical to the cutter in all ways except for the rig. The ketch is a very maneuverable rig which balances beautifully and makes the boat very fast on a reach as well as being extremely easy to singlehand thanks to the inherent balance and ease of heaving-to. The ketch is also the only Cape Dory in this size range which can carry an 8.5’ dinghy on deck which is a huge advantage. The engine has been professionally rebuilt making this an excellent value. We are motivated sellers and would be excited to talk to anyone who might be interested in this boat.

Nice boat! I'm not in market but sold my Luders 33 earlier this summer in less than 2 weeks listing to closing because I priced it realistically but well, openly advertised asking price, and used sailboat listings.com paying the $25 for the featured listing. Good luck! There's always a market for classics but need to market it well-

Hi Malbert, thank you for the tip. The boat is actually listed as a featured listing on that site just as you suggest. I believe that our price is very reasonable and given the late season here right now, we are willing to negotiate.
