Re: Aries Wind Vane

KLswire, I have no connection to the seller, but I have owned 3 Aries, and other than the actual plywood vane, there is nothing missing in the photos. The vane is probably stored under a bunk cushion on the boat, but can be made for about $20 worth of plywood. The wheel adapter is the early bronze model, which is not as easy to use as the later aluminum, but works just fine. Just a side note!!! the steering lines (as opposed to the course adjusting lines) can both be run from one side of the cockpit, which leaves at least one side of the cockpit open for going fore and aft. Use roller bearing blocks. If you understand that there will be some dissimilar metal issues, this seems like a hell of a good buy, but then I happen to love Aries. Use the search engine on this forum for Aries information. Just my opinion. ______Grant.

1000is dirt cheap. these usually go for around 2500, even here in Denmark where they are made

Our books have gotten 5 star reviews on Amazon. Several readers have written "I never thought I would go on a circumnavigation, but when I read these books, I was right there in the cockpit with Vinni and Carsten"
