Our FP Athena
saloon windows were bonded with a double sided foam tape from new. The problem with that is the sun UV attacks the foam and
adhesive over time, hence the black painted strip on the edge of the windows to reduce the UV. Our windows are fine under the eyebrow but the foam has deteriorated lower down. I have injected a 1 part
polyurethane sealant adhesive, but Dow 795 would have been better as it is a structural glazing adhesive and very resistant to UV. I have used 795 to
bed new acrylics in the
deck hatches and that has worked well for last 3 years
