Weather routing thinks we can drive over land

I have detect land selected and I'm using the highest resolution basemap and yet, I still get these types of routes fairly often. What can I do to prevent this?

Re: Weather routing thinks we can drive over land

I am not so sure that Land Detection is working looking at this.
1. Have you downloaded the High Resolution GSHHS files?
2. I hope you are using them the high res.
3. Try shortening the interval.
4. Try moving the destination out of the harbor to simplify the routing for starts.

I think shortening the interval will help, because the last interval is too big, but by rights it should not be routing across land, but just fail.

Report results back please.

Shortening the interval does seem to help, but when I run into this problem, I have solved it by using OpenDraw to create an exclusion zone around the places where I don't want my boat to become a auto.

An improvement I would like to see, is when the optimal route completes but the last leg crosses over land, then the interval is reduced by 1/2 and if the last leg crosses land it is reduced by 1/2 again until it completes. This might be called dynamic intervals.
