Status bar font size

Hi there,
simple question: how to change the status bar font size in the current releases? I remember that it worked fine some time ago, but now, although there is still an option in the menu, the display keeps showing only one (very small) font size irrespective of the status bar setting you choose.

The current implementation makes sure everything fits in the status bar, which as a side effect means you can change the font face but not the size.
You should probably have a look at the statusbar plugin which offers much higher flexibility in what is shown on the bottom of the screen and how.

I workaround this by not displaying the status bar [Options/User Interface] and using the Dashboard for the information I'd like to see.

or you can do the same as Terry ( not displaying the status bar [Options/User Interface] and install StatusBar_pii
