Could you please let me know if could work Autopilot route in my system?

I send the block layout of the system:
Autopilot is connected via (bidireccional SeaTalk) with shipmodul and this connected to my computer via UDP (also bidireccional) it's supposed that orders sent from computer in NMEA 0183 are translated and transmitted to SeaTalk. OCPN 5.8.2

I'll be glad to test the plugin if could be successful control of Autopilot, I'll revert with findings

Corsair, the purpose of this post is to initially test the Testplugin Template using the 3 compiled plugins. You have not responded to my request, and I do not intend to provide setup and support to you. Please make your own thread.

Tested all three plugins with OpenCPN 5.8.2 and MacOS 12.6.5. (Monterey)

Plugins loaded/updated this moment, so most recent version in Master catalog.

TestPlugIn: loads, but seems to be unhappy. Basically everything missing and any button I hit, leads to a crash of O



Polar:
seems ok. Could type in polar data manually and did plot polars. Load allowed me to select an excel spreadsheet with polar data, but crashed. Has no button to close it. I needed to click on the icon in the toolbar, which is kind of weird.

Autoroute:
could install it, but not use it since I am not at the boat.

Hi Rgleason,

I'm not native of the Shakespeare language, so maybe could be some misunderstanding from my side.

I'm not asking for technical support, I was asking you if you think that with my configuration could run the plugin? if it could run I'll be happy to test it, otherwise if not suitable why waste your time and mine too? if it won't be possible to work.

I'm open to test any plugin that could work in my system and give feedback of them

For AP_route does preferences open? Is it version 0.4.12?

For Testplugin can you open preferences? There may be some specific code in testplugin which does not work for Macos which causes the crash, not related to the TP template itself. We would like to fix this tbough, can you be a little more specific and can you reliably cause O to fail?

not available in Alpha test plugin 1.0.237

Corsair, I apologize for being brisk. Yes your system looks to be good for autopilot_route _pi. Opencpn is using nmea0183 with a seatalk converter for the AP. Your english is good, better by far than my second language skills.

I would like to suggest reviewing the ap_route manual to be sure. Find the wiki manual on the main website, then plugins etc.

PS it wont hurt to just try these plugins either, to see if they are available and install and enable an open up to a menu or preferences. That alone tells us the the TP template or frontend for building multiple OS versions is working for that OS!

Don´t need to apologise, maybe my question was not clear enough.

the main thing I cannot see the test plugin 1.0.237 and really I want to install it and test in my computer at home together with the other plugins and also test tomorrow in the computer on board.

Yes, preferences is opening. It is 0.4.9.0 though. This is the current one in the master catalog.

Do I need to activate the Draw Plugin first? Which I do not find in the list.

Autopilot 0.4.12.0 found and installed on MacOS. Preferences can be accessed. Seems to be working, as far as I can tell from my living room.

Testplugin 1.0.230 installed on MacOS. Some message as above on activating. However, it does not crash any more, when clicking to the buttons. I do not see any results drawn, may be due to me not understanding how to control it.

I'd appreciate hints where to find the plugins to be tested. Some are handled by the PI-manager, some could be found on cloudsmith, some in beta or in prod.

I had installed before in my boat the Autopilot_route_pi 0.4.12
I installed Polar_pi 1.2.3 from master catalogue and now working and recording data from the wind vane.

I've unable to find Testpluging_pi 1.0.237 neither alpha catalogue nor in GitHub nor cloudsmith.

maybe I could try with latest version in Beta 235?
