This plugin needs a Polar Data file for the boat. Does anyone know where I can get a Polar Data file for a Rival 32?

yes. I have gps and a log/speed instrument.

You need wind speed/direction.

The actual algorithm used in the plugin to generate polars from nmea logs is understandably undertested as I don't have wind instruments.

The polar plugin also maybe can produce a polar... but if it works it won't do a good job. It isn't very smart/

Maybe you can post your nmea log (must include speed through water, apparent wind, and apparent wind speed) and should cover a range of wind speeds, and all possible angles to the wind. I can improve the weather routing plugin to better support this type of feature.


Otherwise, for now you need to manually enter the boat speed for each true wind angle and true wind speed.
