Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.708 RC2 Test
Hello Dave,
With the OpenCPN version 5.1.708 + 7805421.
See the screenshot. In the Plugins tab, there is a "Polar" plugin and a "polar" plugin. Strange.
The first is the one that builds the polars of the boats and concerns WR but the second concerns DR. In addition, each time I close OpenCPN, the second seems to be uninstalled and I have to reinstall it each time OpenCPN starts.

Just for my information:
Unplugging USB and reconnecting has the danger of changing the connection name.
I think that is a problem beyond OpenCPN.
Should there be an instruction to use udev to force a certain name (or use the openplotter serial app, with all implications involved)?
(Or should there be at least some warning in the manual.)

This is a Linux issue that may be handled in next O release, not 5.2 what I know.
Meanwhile some tips here if you're not on OpenPlotter: https://github.com/OpenCPN/OpenCPN/i...ment-655005985

Gilletarom...
Issue with "polar" plugin is resolved. Please reload your catalog, and it should be gone.
Thanks

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.708 RC2 Test
Hello Hakan, Dave,
The versions used for this test:
OpenCPN 5.1.711 + 688d321.
sQuiddio 1.3.7.0
A new version of the language file for sQuiddio has been implemented in crowdin. I did a complete translation, in French, although probably imperfect, of the items.
I downloaded, from the crowdin, the ".mo" file for sQuiddio and I tried to put this file in share /../ fr or in share /../ fr_FR but, nothing to do, sQuiddio remains in English version.
Perhaps, the new ".mo" file is not recognized correctly ???

I guess my defaults in OpenCPN were not good. I think it might depend on when I switched to the dark theme.
I can’t remember now was it before or after initial OpenCPN installation.
At this point it’s just a little usability
nuisance with initial settings which can
be overcome by going into settings and
correcting them manually after theme switch.
Maybe in User Preferences there could be some flag for each color to say ‘pick the color from the desktop theme’
Otherwise all values seem to be explicit.
Thanks,

What I know is Crowdin producing .po-files. The .mo files are created when the plugins is built.

With this Serial option the connection can be passed to the SignalK server.
Latest OpenCPN .711 works perfect with the latest adjustments.

Gilletarom...
To manually change a .mo file for a managed plugin, you must place the new .mo file as shown in attached screenshot, of course adjusted for your particular user name.
Thanks

Sorry Hakan, really, I use poedit to create the ".mo" file using the ".po" file.

That's what I did. But nothing to do, the plugin remains in English (at least partially).
That said, see the screenshots. It seems that the installed version is not the right version: 1.3 instead of 1.3.7.

Re: OpenCPN Version 5.1.708 RC2 Test
@Gilletarom
I've downloaded your changes in Crowdin and PR it to https://github.com/rgleason/squiddio_pi branch frontend2.
I'm sure Rick can build a new managed plugin version.
