Re: OpenCPN Version 2.6 Beta Build 1624

sailorF54/Gilletarom.....

OK, now we try to get the new Chartsymbols model working on your system.

In the config file, remove the "PresentationLibraryData=..." line. You may do this simply by placing a "pound-sign" "#" as the first character of the line. This marks that line as a comment to be ignored.

Try to run again, and see what happens. There just seems to be some trouble with the Chartsymbols upgrade on some systems....

Thanks
Dave

Dave..

With the Siitech AIS network connected to COM7, ocpn aborts when selecting the CM93 maps in the status bar. See attached logfile for the period. I tried to start several times.

Tore....

AIS is broken in 2.6.1624
It will crash for everyone, independent of chart type, with enough traffic.

New Beta in a couple of days.

Sorry

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.6 Beta Build 1624

Gilletarom/sailorf54....

New chartsymbols code in 1624 is broken for non-US language users.

There is a workaround:

Delete the directory

C:\Program Files\OpenCPN\share\locale

Of course, you will then have no localization of messages, etc. But at least you may test the new chartsymbols feature. If you later want your localized messages back, reinstall OCPN 2.6.1624, and switch to S52RAZDS.RLE in the config file.

Sorry for the hiccup

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.6 Beta Build 1624

Dave..

Strangely enough,1624 does not crash for the past 3 times with the Siitech network connected. All working normally. Anyway,we´ll test some more tomorrow.

Thanks
Tore

All new features tested and working.

On 205, don't forget to put both required tide files in a named folder (e.g. Europe) within the UserTCData foder...

BTW, tide files for North Sea, Channel, European Atlantic and Med shores can be found here (thanks to Merak56, use with usual caution)
Some tide current data included as well

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.6 Beta Build 1624

In the version 2.61624, the chart qulting is the one causing so much the loading on the computer. Once you check it out, it all works fine with the S57.

Re: OpenCPN Version 2.6 Beta Build 1624

Split route does not work eitheir. You must erase all waypoint one by one and continue from the one you decided.
