OpenCPN mileage display

Newbie on the forum...Started using openCPN a few months ago and am traveling around the great loop. Im having an anomaly with the display of river chanel mileage. I have my vector chart display mode set to user standard and have selected all. When viewing the mileage i see a "km" place mark and then the river mileage written over the top of it. I can turn them both off by de-selecting the "dismar" variable. But i need to see the mileage...just want to get rid of the km. See screenshot attached. I am using a Windows 10 laptop and my opencpn version is 5.8.0-0+0b3b417. plugin api 118

For normal users this is not possible, but if you really really want this then you could look for a file named "rastersymbols-day.png", open it in a graphic editor and look for the the km symbol. Wipe this part of the picture and save it again.
