OpenCPN 5 broken on Ubuntu Focal Fossa (20.04)

Howdy Folks

Ubuntu has released their new LTS distro, and looks like OpenCPN is having a few issues.

Opens OK with just basemap, until you go into config and try and switch on plugins.

The config menu freezes with top bar white, and the ok, cancel, apply buttons do nothing. Following is shown in terminal;

(opencpn:5612): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 21:17:27.912: gtk_box_gadget_distribute: assertion 'size >= 0' failed in GtkScrollbar

If you force squidd.io on by editing opencpn.conf and enabling libsquiddio_pi.so...

OpenCPN just opens to a frozen white screen with nothing reported in the terminal.

OpenCPN is definitely not broken on Focal. I'm using it every day.
If you look around on this forum, there are many posts on this subject.
Focal requires recompiled plugins. Plugins for Bionic will not do.
What plugins are you using.

Hi Thomas... just read and tried the sticky beta (top of the forum)

opencpn-focal-gtk3_5.1.605+1.ef2d296-1_amd64.deb is working great, but no squiddio yet.... hopefully it'll catch up soon.
