NWS NCEP service limits notice for comments

They have been having service outages on a regular basis due to too many connections. Some of these outages have lasted long enough so that the data made available had to be interrupted and is not available as history.

This is a serious problem, but I wonder how much of it is caused by lack of infrastructure and serves, due to funding.

Also how much of it is due to Russia and China mining our free and open data? Perhaps those IP's should have greater restrictions in addition to the other restrictions?

I also wonder how much climate denial has affected support of this great service. Next they are going to try to privatize the parts that are most lucrative, ending the free and open servers. Share your ideas and preferences with Noaa
