NEMA APB Sentence only with True not with Magnetic Bearing ?

Hello,

my new Ray Aotopilot EV! / ACU 400 do not accept completely the OPENCPN ( 3.3.1824 )Datasentence ECAPB and APB.



As you see, dte Bearing to Waypoint ends with " T " what means " True " but on the p70 Display are just - - - The Box is named BTW ( M ) so i guess the pilot wants the magnetic bearing.

But in the OpenCPN Toolbox the switch use mag. bearing in ECAPB is switched on.

What to do ?

What version of OpenCPN are you using, please?

Oops, I did not read well. You are using 3.3.1824.
OK, I'll have a look. Seems not right...

What is your source of magnetic variation in your location?

You need that, either from your GPS receiver, or from the wmm_pi PlugIn.

thanks for answering.

The surce for the magnetic heading is the Raymarine Autopilot EV1 and for the
true ( GPS ) heading is the GPS 130 also from Raymarine together in a network.
The datas come with a seatalk / Seatalg NG converter via a Ramarine seatalk / NEMA converter to the PC.

The dashboard shows both, true and magnetic heading.

ok, now i installed the wmm plugin and the p70 showes the BTW.

But unfortunaly now the distance to waypoint BTW is missed just - - -

... new problem. What to do ?

be on the goal !

now after a play with try and error:

i activated not only ECAPB.
With ECRMC together it seems to work.

After a seatrial i will report the result

Be back soon, but the next 2 days the weather is bad here.
