Re: Migrating meteovache_pi to managed plugin scheme

Thanks a lot for this translation ! I will include it tonight.

For the too large column header, I choose the option to reduce the size of the words to avoid having variable width columns. To identify the words which need to be shortened, I put some comments in the translation file. These comments look like this :

#. TRANSLATORS: Must be 4 characters max

Hi Gilletarom, Deducting from your screenshot:

"Rain": Yes, off corse. But this reflects the existence of a declaration error in the plugin code. No source string in Rain item. So OpenCPN do not see the translation.

Re: Migrating meteovache_pi to managed plugin scheme

I'm really happy of the performance of this plugin in O5.8.

I've seen a small bug in the saved files, regarding the month:
setting as attached screenshot.

in the saving path I found the files downloaded, for example:
today April 29, 2023 in EU notation 29-04-2023 or 29/04/2023 or 2023/04/29
file saved:
PredicciónM_2023-03-29_15h27m12s.zip

file inside zip file:
PredicciónM_2023-03-29_15h27m14s.txt

screenshot of the content of the file, with proper date:
Quote:
Modelo : Arpege
Proveedor : Météo France
Hora del parte : 29/04/2023 8h00
Huso horario : Local / sistema
so it means why the saved files are one month "younger" (in the naming only)

Re: Migrating meteovache_pi to managed plugin scheme

Yes, the server is dead since about one week. It is my internet box which has a problem. Since I'm still on holiday, I can not fix it until I'm back. Hopefully It will be repaired tomorrow.
It emphasizes the fact that I should find aother way to host the server...

Re: Migrating meteovache_pi to managed plugin scheme

Hello all,
meteovache_pi development has progressed. I fixed all issues reported here (hopefully) and integrated it to the online beta plugin catalog. So you should be able to install the latest version (1.0.1-beta) by updating the beta catalog in your OpenCPN.
Many platforms are supported. Only Android is disabled for now.
I tested the plugin on MacOS by using a virtual machine but it does not allow me to scale the font size. I think it now works fine with wxWidgets 3.2 but I'm waiting feedback on this particular topic to validate that the font selection is ok.

Ronan.

Re: Migrating meteovache_pi to managed plugin scheme

I've been testing latest in Cloudsmith:
repositories ver 1.0.0-apha2+37.ae6d289

no visual issues detected and also the Spanish translation works well with "Sábado" now shown as "Sá"

still detected in this version that zip file saved and zipped file inside is 2023-05-01 when should be 2023-06-01

really curious in the saved files still shown the accent words not properly:
Quote:
Vi.02 22h 8 12 E-NE 30 20
Vi.02 23h 6 12 E-NE 23 19
S£.03 0h 6 12 E-NE 23 19
S£.03 1h 6 12 E-NE 23 19
S£.03 2h 2 4 E-SE 11 18
S£.03 3h 2 2 E-SE 12 17
S£.03 4h 2 2 SE 23 17
S£.03 5h 2 2 S-SE 9 17
S£.03 6h 2 2 N 12 17
but in the display of the plugin shown correct.

Re: Migrating meteovache_pi to managed plugin scheme

Ronan...

Looks quite usable. Two minor things noted:
1) The window does not handle the close event from the red button in the title bar
2) The webview does not resize with the window

Re: Migrating meteovache_pi to managed plugin scheme

Ok, found the beta version, installed and tested.

no visual problem detected in the display.

but same issues than message before:
- saved file with wrong number of months, one month before: PredicciónM_2023-05-01_23h47m27s

- in the .txt saved file same problem with accents shown as e.g. Sábado as S£ but only in the saved file not in display of plugin.

Re: Migrating meteovache_pi to managed plugin scheme

Thanks to all for your reports,

@gilletarom : strange that you don't see it in the beta catalog. What is your platform ? Are you using the latest OCPN (5.8.2 with wxWidgets 3.2) ?

@corsair63 : I forgot this issue with the text report. Easy to fix, it will be done quickly. Hopefully today.

@nohal : I did not implement a resize of the drawings when resizing the window. The text size is fixed. That might be an interesting idea. I will test it later. Concerning the window not handling the red button, I will investigate this. This might take some time since it is working under other platform and since I'm running MacOS in a painfully slow virtual machine... Until then, you should be able to close the window by clicking on the toolbar plugin icon.

...
....
Windows 10.
I am using the version shown in the screenshot. Is this the official version? I do not know anymore? But I haven't changed for a long time.

This morning: As for the Beta catalog, updated last night and this morning, it does not offer me any new version and I have version 1.0.0 installed.

So no news of 1.0.1 which has been announced.

I will uninstall and reinstall.
------------------------------------------------------------

Uninstalled and reinstalled beta 1.0.1 now visible. An observation: The icon which announces meteocow in the icon bar and a cloud rising from the sun, while in the list of available plugins, it is a cow's head .... See last screen copy.
