Re: MacOS PIM Plugins Testing

Dave Wright, amajori and other macos users.

VDR_pi v1.3.16 makes changes you suggested. Will be merged to catalog sometime today.

Also Logbook v1.4.26 is in the catalog now.

Please try these and advise.

I also think Mike made some plugin changes which can be tested.

Re: MacOS PIM Plugins Testing

Rick,

Both VDR and Logbook show up in the plugin pane on the Mac (OS Catalina) as version -1.0.0. Must be the latest versions, as there's nothing new in PIM.

Re: MacOS PIM Plugins Testing

Thanks Steve, have you installed and tried them?
I noticed the version 1.0.0 business too, which may indicate that the plugin needs to be installed. When I went to install using "downgrade" and selected VDR v1.3.16 and actually installed it, the version number was corrected.

This is easy to do. After updating the catalog or importing a plugin tarball, you still have to install the plugin.

Re: MacOS PIM Plugins Testing

Yes, used them today. I’ll try the uninstall/reinstall thing and see if it fixes it.

Re: MacOS PIM Plugins Testing

Is it possible that MacOS be could be missing something necessary in the plugin install process?

Current version of VDR 1.3.16
Please note that the Preferences box is greyed because there is nothing to configure.
I have not implemented the rollover Stop playing or Stop recording message. You should know what you are doing and there is a menu open anyway.

...Understand.

...Yes, the red button center when recording is active, and green arrow when playback are good enough for now, thanks..!
Of more concern is the file chooser dialog that appears for playback is still assuming that the filename is to be opened for saving, and when an existing file is chosen, asks if overwrite is desired. If you choose overwrite and proceed, the file does get opened for reading, but I suspect there is a different file dialog to use for choosing files for read rather than write.

Appreciate your efforts..!
