Lost the S63 Plugin on Upgrade to 5.8.4

On upgrading from 5.6 to 5.8.4, I seem to have lost the S63 Plugin. The tab under charts is missing the S63 tab. Do I need to start over again from the beginning with downloading & installing the plugin again or is there an alterative way to activate it again.

Note - The S63 Plugin which was working perfectly on V 5.6 was for New Zealand Charts. I can see that the original data is still stored in ProgramData\OpenCPN - it seems that the original fingerprint file and license information is still on my system. I'm guessing that If I just reinstall the plugin, it should be able to find the license information which was previously created in 5.6 ..... or will it do something else. Anyone have any suggestions ?

First: the system you are using? Windows xx, macOS xx, ...



Did you try to reconstruct the chart data base? Any error message?



The license informations (keys, install permits etc.) shall be there, even the S-63 set in OpenCPN format.



What does the S-63 tab show under keys/permits?




You can as well import/digest the S-63 cell permits and cells from the S-63 tab at Charts|S-63 again - from the downloaded data sets. Be careful to respect the order of the sets then.

Thanks much for your reply.

System is Windows 10.

The S63 tab is now gone from the Charts tab (Screenshot attached <I Hope>).

I have not yet tried to reconstruct the chart database as I'm guessing the loss of the S63 tab would not allow for much of a reconstruction is the basic plugin is totally gone.

Also note that when viewing from the Plugin Tab - S63 does not appear as enabled. (screenshot attached) I did just update the plugin catelogue and S63 is indeed now an available option on the list.. From memory on the first time thru this I think I need to download S63 and install it - not just tick the box on this list but I'm definitely confused at the moment.

Just install the S-63 PI again. And make sure that it is enabled.

Thank you very much ! Quick and easy with your encouragement. Installed via the plugin manager with a click - The Plugin is now automatically enabled, it's ticked off as the most recent version available, and much to my relief the "S63 Charts" tab is once again prominently displayed on the Charts Option. I've even completed the process by updating my charts with the most recent update - which appears to have worked as per normal.

Thank again for responding - and solving what I thought was the beginning of a nightmare.
