Looking for a plugin

I am looking for a specific plugin, I can buy it if I have to. Here's what I need to do, I run a small fleet of boats that automatically email their position to me every hour. I need a plugin to plot those positions to OpenCPN. Can anyone help me out?

Why do you only care about position every hour, but are within range of being able to send emails?

The easiest way to do this would be to convert the positions to AIS nmea messages. You wouldn't need a special plugin.

Converting the positions to AIS NMEA sebtences and virtual COM port was my original idea, but I can't figure that one out either.

But it's the easiest way to do it, OK sending packets UDP would be easier.


- poll mail server
- python script or whatever for mail to AIS output to UDP
- done


Did you succeed with the mail to AIS conversion?
