Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

hi freddie,

good to hear that, but for me the problem isn't finished.

i don't have a apple and on a amd bulldozer cpu the os won't run
in virtual environment. now i have to find out, what the apple-characterset
uses for the "°". _T("\xB0") didn't work or didn't give it a try ?

best regards,
konni

Konni:
This is the hex character set for the degrees symbol on my keyboard:
C2 BA
I cannot find out if it works on my version on OpenCPN because I still have not been able to compile a working version of OpenCPN on my Mac (10.6.8). The packager is not installing the dylibs into the app bundle.

Thanks,
Freddie

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Hallo Hartmut,

i've corrected the timer.
the plugin is up on sourceforge with the same version-nr (0.919).

a new menuitem is added to the rightclick-menu for the timer-interval.
i checked it with minutes only. tonight my computer checks the hours,
but it should work now.

please give me a feedback if it's ok or not.

bis dann

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Hi Konni,
the timer now works fine.
But now there is another bug, the timer input for seconds goes only from 0 to 10, but i think nobody needs logbookentrys in intervalls of seconds.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Hallo Hartmut,

your are right, nobody uses seconds in real life, but for beginners it's
maybe useful to check the timer without waiting 1 minute or more.

i've corrected the seconds, also the title-string in the dialog.
it'll be up with the next bugfix.

best regards,
konni

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Hi Konni,
Thank you for all updates.

In the Logbook "Preferences" I tried to change to 'Lit' rather than 'Gal', but it still defaults to 'Gal' ??

Also, attached is a screen shot of my preferences windows, should there be other lines or characters visible?
Should the background be all black?

I use Win7 64 Pro

Thanks

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Hello Stefano,

i canot reproduse the above, see images.

i've uploaded ver. 0.920 but this time on Github-Downloads (as exe-file),
in the moment it seems that i cannot upload to sourceforge.
0.919 is deleted at sourceforge

maybe this fixes the error.

you can see also a en_help.exe and a de_help.exe.
these files are installers for html-help-files (only options are done). when the installer aks for
the path use the same as for installing the plugin.
this feature can only be used by ver. >= 0.920

the helpfile/s should appear in layouts-dropdown-box.

please give me a feedback.

best regards,
konni

Hi Konni,
unfortunately my screen has still a black background and cannot read the black text.
There must be a bug with my graphic card??

i don't think so.

do you have this problem with other programms, too ?
do you have that problem with this two tabs only ?
do you use a different design in Win 7 than the default ? this could be the answer.

if you have a black background in other programm, too, than it seems
that the design you are using has a wrong color for for dialog background.

i think you don't use the default design.
compare the borders of my images(win7 home) with the images you've posted (win7 prof).
please switch to the default win7-design and check the background.

please send a reply, if it runs properly with the default design.

best regards,
konni

You were right Konni,
I had a custom background to resemble Win XP (I don't like Win7 look).
Selecting the original Win7 theme fixed the problem.

I will use the logbook from now on and will let you know if I get into any problems.

BTY, I use the English version, my mother language is Italian, can I help with translation?
