Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN (Weather)

Morning, everyone. In the weather tab the logbook logs the temperature and pressure from the phrase NMEA0183 WIMDA.
In the WIMDA frame sent to Ocpn I also have the humidity. But it is not logged in the Konni logbook.

Is an update of the plugin to fill this omission planned?

Thank you all for the work done. and your response.

ps :I'm using Ocpn and the plugin Logbook Konni on Raspberry

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Hello,

I do not know the terms of the Logbook in Raspberry but there is no objective reason for it to be different from Windows 10 where the humidity is displayed correctly.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Test LogbookKonni_pi for Opencpn v5.2 with the new Plugin Manager. It is now available to download as a beta "tarball" and install using the "Import Plugin" plugin..

I have recently been able to enter engine hours and fuel and save them.
You will have to give more detail about version, OS, how you are using the plugin etc.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Hi Rick,

As I stated before, the importer on MacOS doesn't work well. I moved Logbook off into it's own folder, so I can select it. It's a pain, but it does indeed import. I overwrote the old "manual" installed version. All seems normal and working as expected with regards to the way I use it. No know issues at this time.

I'd say it's ready for primetime.

I have found some "nit-picky" things in Dark Mode. Nothing fuctional, just some cell boarders that are wonky. Works fine, though.

Found something a little bit bigger:

Preferences from inside PIManager in "Dark Mode" (Mac Catalina) needs a bit of attention.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

I've been working on LogbookKonni and have made some improvements for Plugin Manager, however not being an active user I am confused by the need to download "layouts" in the instructions, using "Preference". This goes nowhere and I cannot find

LogbookKonni_Layouts.zip

Also see https://github.com/ptulp/LogbookKonni_pi/issues/24

Perhaps the layouts are unzipped and in place (I hope)?

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Hi Rick,

The layouts are HTML layouts used for generating crew lists, maintenance report, etc. The ones in the zip file are the basic ones and templates. Users with some HTML knowledge can make new ones, I believe is the intent. Installion of these layouts in not a requirement for operation of the plug in. Basically, when the layout is activated, it merges data into an html web page for printing, etc.

When "installing" them, I believe all it does is place them in a specific place for future reference and updates the DB as to their existence.

I'm not sure there's anything you need to worry about there.

Steve

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Confirmed. The installer unzips the file and places them in a specific place. Happened so fast, I had to do it again to confirm:

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

I have no success opening the logbook. My OpenCPN crashes each time I want to open the logbook or open the logbook preferences (settings in the plugins section). I have installed and re-installed OpenCPN 5.2 and Konni Logbook (from the build-in plugin manager as well as from the Windows setup package downloaded from the website) several times, to no avail. My O.S. is Windows 10. The only anomaly I see in the log is this: 09:57:55.448 MESSAGE pluginmanager.cpp:2161 PlugInManager: Loading PlugIn: C:\Users\Walkabout\AppData\Local\opencpn\plugins\l ogbookkonni_pi.dll 09:57:55.448 WARNING imagpng.cpp:189 iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile
