List of macOS versions and compatible versions of openCPN?

I am running high sierra (V10.13.6) on an intel mac. Where can I find the most recent openCPN compatible? The latest openCPN requires v 11 or greater.

Both 5.6.2 from https://github.com/OpenCPN/OpenCPN/releases or the very latest CI build for legacy Intel Macs from https://cloudsmith.io/~david-registe...able/packages/ should work on your system.

but why are two versions? see attached pic
one is 57.8 MB and the other 59.3
both withthe same title

Because one is the DMG image (You pull the application to /Applications) and the other is the PKG installer (You open it and are guided by the installation wizard).
At the end the result is the same, you have OpenCPN installed, so use whichever you prefer.

I tried both 5.9 versions on my macbook running high sierra (OS 10.13.6) and both fail. The error log is attached. Apologies for uploading a screenshot of the text file but text file size is ridiculously limited to 1000 BYTES (1 KB)

I also tried the previous 5.9 version without success.

OK, I will revive my old Mac and have a look. You may use 5.6.2 instead, there was no boost dependency there.

Just rename the file to ....txt.jpeg and the size limit will be high enough.

OK, the current CI build for legacy Intel machines should again work on macOS 10.13 and newer (Tested to work on 10.14.4, I don't have access to anything older)

seems to work fine. Thnk you. Now I just have to figure out my confusion w o-charts. Seems I have created too many system identifiers and need to remove some somehow.
