Enable Touchscreen interface

Hello,

In Options / User Interface /, there is a checkbox "Enable Touchscreen interface".

On a laptop PC with touchscreen, I checked this box. But I don't see any difference when I touch on the screen, whether with or without having checked this box.

Either way I get the same result.

Is there something missing or is this option useless for a touchscreen?

I just installed the latest version 5.2.4 on a Winbook tablet and the touchscreen seemed to work right away. I did not change any settings, I am not very familiar with the whole touchscreen thing to know any better. Maybe someone else will have an idea.
