Enable 'Edit' Utility

I suggest enabling the 'edit' utility for posts. I've used this feature on another forum that has the same structure as this one, and think that it helps in those cases when a poster realizes that he/she has either made a mistake or wants to rephrase the post. I think that it is available for a limited time after the post is published. Yes, the 'preview' feature should be useful in this regard as well.

This is something that has been discussed, at length.

In a nutshell the edit timeouts allow you to fix your mistakes, but keep you from changing your story later.

If there is something in need of editing after the time outs you can contact any moderator and they will be happy to assist.

I often 'Edit' or even at times delete my post....
what sometimes seems great in the typing often seems inappropriate after I've posted and see it in the 'Grand Scheme'...
its great...
saved me from the boot a few times now I've the timing sorted..

??? I don't have an 'edit' option in my post, even immediately after posting. Are you referring to the 'Preview Post' option under "Go Advanced', which is only available prior to 'Submit Reply'?

You should see "Edit" as one of the buttons in the lower right of your post, after you actually post it. I don't recall the specific time allowed for edits. I believe it stays there for a half hour, maybe less, after the post is made.
