Chart Downloader not displaying available charts

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out why my Chart Downloader that installed on a new RaspberryPi4 doesn't see available charts when in the Chart Downloader window nothing pops up.

Any ideas?

Do you have internet access? Does your browser work?
If not, Chart Downloader will not work.


Have you updated the catalogs? This is a first most important action.
See the manual, too.

Here's a screen shot showing a blank screen when I click on Chart Downloader. This is on a RPi 4. On my Mac computer, when I click on Chart Downloader it shows a page full of charts that I can download. On the RPi, I do have internet and my browser is working. I've gone through the manual sections regarding loading maps several times, but haven't been able to get the chart options for downloading to show up.

Certainly does not seem blank to me, actually does look absolutely normal. Click on the Add Catalog button, add the catalog you want, update it to the latest version and download charts.

That's the problem. Nothing appears when I click "Add Catalog". When I choose "Download Charts" on my computer a whole list of available charts appears, but on my Raspberry Pi, nothing appears.

This is what I see when I click the "Add Catalog" button on a Raspberry Pi. Are you saying that the "New chart source" window is not shown at all for you?

Chancey's RPI does not have internet, I think.

This has nothing to do with having access to internet or not. Although of course downloading charts without access to it will be impossible even if the catalogs are actually displayed.

No, the list of the catalogs is distributed with OpenCPN.

Miraculously enough, today it started working as it is supposed to. I'm not sure what is different because I did have internet yesterday. The browser was working fine. At any rate, it seems to be working now. Thank you for your help.

Good that it works now. Perhaps you rebooted?
