I create a connection using TCP/IP and port 10110 as Ron said. Ok but I have create a connection without filter nor in, nor out.

then I try to add filter .... Then OpenCPN no crash but completely blocked !

And so, the only way for shutdown O is Ctrl/Alt/Supr

Gille... for info
I've the same environment. I've not tried 0.0.0.0 but 127.0.01 and 192.168.1.255, local host and LAN. Both worked fine. See shoot.
For this beta the serial port handling is working fine as well.

I agree that the idea of entering the IP address 0.0.0.0 does not come naturally to me would be. But you had written in your previous post. So I wanted to try.

I said that in addition, the connection once created, it is impossible to uncheck the "Enable". This completely blocks OCPN. It should be out by Ctrl / Alt / Supr. And restarts when OCPN, we're in the same problem.

I ended up going to the ini file to manually delete this connection.

I try to change some option without problem. I have at this moment 3 old dasboards

But, I have destroyed a old dasboard and then created a new dasboad.

After click on "ok" and "Apply", this new dasboard was display automatically but the two old dasboard no !!!

Then I shutdown dasboard and re-up dashboard. And then all the 3 dasboard, are displayed. (2 old and the new).

Tested and not completely confirmed, but halfway. That is when I unchecked a incoming TCP network or the outgoing UDP network the answer is smooth and simultaneous. But when I uncheck an active serial port the port window became empty or totally cleared out and everything is halted for say 5 seconds. Then the ports are printed back to the window and process is back to normal. Could it be that "black" period that hangs you machine but mine by a changes succeed to survive?

Re: Beta Test / Technical

Hi,
I am using OCPN Version 3.1.1319 Build 2013-01-19 on a MacBook Air.
When creating a route I have found that moving the pencil to the edge of the screen (horizontally - haven't tested vertically) with the intention of scrolling the screen towards the next waypoint, the screen continues to scroll. Forcing OCPN to quit appears to be the only sure way of stopping the scroll. Pressing <Esc> has worked sometimes, but that has the effect of erasing the route creation to that point.
I have used OCPN both at sea, and in close coastal cruising and found it superb. My usual nav computer is a Windows machine running a stable version. Never found a fault there...

Cheers

Re: Beta Test / Technical

A bug in ocpn v 3.2.0 and the beta before that one: when cmd+TAB out and then in to ocpn, the toolbar dissappears and have to be restarted. OS 10.7.5 on macbook pro.

Known fix for this problem?

Re: Beta Test / Technical 3.2.0

Just started using OpenCPN 3.2.0 and noticed a bug (I think).

In the routes/waypoint window, if I click on an eyeball to display the route on the screen, I get a pop-up, "Do you also want to toggle the visibility of shared waypoints being part of this route,"

and the program hangs, whether you click "yes" or "no." Have to force quite the program and re-start it.

This is on a MacBook Air, OSX 10.8.2

Is there a fix for this?

Thanks,
Ron

dweller...

Do you have a large number of routes/tracks and waypoints defined? Appoximately how many of each?

Re: Beta Test / Technical

Even if you have only 1 route and 2 waypoints it will not work. The Mac version is extremly buggy. There are several other bugs. Try e.g. the cm93 offset tool in non-quilting mode. Look at the OS X activity monitor, you will mostly see 99% CPU usage for OpenCPN...

CarCode....

Once again, specific bug reports on Flyspray will generally be addressed in turn as part of the release process. We can fix just about any bug if we know what to look for.

Reports of "it does not work very well, is extremly buggy..." are not generally useful to the developers, and tend to drive away potential contributing testers/users.

Lets break this down into bite-size bits and see what we can do.

Thanks
Dave
