Propane sniffer cycling

Hello all. We have a Xintex Fireboy s-2A propane sniffer on board. It seems to be stuck in its start up mode where on powering up it cycles continuously through its test procedure: testing each sensor, the solenoid and finally the beep alarm. Normally it would do this once but now it is stuck in this cycle.

I have tried to comtact Xintex but no reply. Any thoughts on what the issue and solution might be?

Double check all your power connections, and make sure you have sufficient battery voltage.
Electronic equipment of all kinds tends to reboot to the default position when power is interrupted or insufficient.

I see this all the time with computerized sewing machines. Loose cord connections, etc.

Re: Propane sniffer cycling

Another test : Unplug the TGS-813 sensor from the propane/LPG sniffer cable. If that helps, clean the socket and/or replace TGS-813.
Cheers/Len

Re: Propane sniffer cycling

Check the positive and negative 12V inputs are correct way round. Then try with only one sensor connected to#1 input.
