cell coverage in pamlico sound nc

Hi All ... going to be sailing from Oriental NC north the full length of the Pamlico Sound to Nags Head. Anyone know if there is cell and/or LTE coverage the whole way ? Will be using the Navionics app on iPad and want to know if there is continuous access. Thanks ... Dennis

I thought those maps were usable in offline mode. You could try switching your tablet to airplane mode and see if you still have access to the maps.

But I also think there is cell coverage out there.

we had good Verizon coverage there. but you only need it for updates. Navionics, Aqua map etc. runs off data stored on your local device.
