Cable connection to Raymarine a95 MFD on a 2017 Leopard 40

I want to connect an AIS to the Raymarine a95 MFD.

I am not near the boat and cannot inspect the a95 cable setup, but want to be prepared and have all cables available when arriving at the vessel and performing the installation.

I suppose the AIS unit has to be connected using a NMEA 0183 cable to the a95 MFD head unit.
And i suppose i have to use the "Power and data (combined) connection" as seen on this photo:

However, i am not sure if on this boat that cable is already installed, or if there is just the "3-pin power connection" installed at that plug.

Any Leopard 40 owner know what kind of cable is installed on a standard equipped Leopard?

Thanks!

John

Just talked to the customer service from em-trak dealer.

They recommend to use the SeaTalkng Backbone with a NMEA2000 to Seatalk adapter.

Guess i will go that route...

That is how mine is wired. It was just plug and play with Em Trak and a RM chartplotter using the SeaTalkNG back bone cabling which was already in place.

We are getting closer to the install... Where did you install the AIS?

We purchased the B923.

I guess close to the electric panel and the VHF radio?

Thanks!
