Maybe. But I post my real picture and even use my real name. I think this makes me "special".

But Don, can we be sure that you haven't been digitally enhanced?

Maybe, like me, they are reading a thread because they don't know enough to reply but want to learn.
I try to not reply if I don't know what I'm talking about. Of course, there are those that are sure I don't know what I'm talking about when I do reply.

OK. But it takes all kinds to make up the human kind. If we were all alike, this would be a boring place ;-)

Re: Why?
Normally I would not respond to this post, but in this case, and at your seeming insistance: here goes--
I don't know why they don't always respond, nor why they don't post their pictures. They don't want to, would be my best guess.
Hope this helps,
all the best,
Ty.

Re: Why?
For me i am just learning and dreaming about sailing
One day i want to get a trip together with a few friends to the Caribbeans
My plan is to go with the Moorings Captain only on a Cat..
WE will fly to ST Lucia and stay a few days at Ladera on the MTS.
and look at the pitons
Then set sail to the Grenadines for the snorkeling..
2 days in st lucia 6 days on the boat and then i thought we would stay 3 days in canouan before flying back

Re: Why?
Two separate issues, right? I view many threads without responding, because:
- I don't know enough about the subject to respond.
- I see that someone with more familiarity with the subject has already responded.
- Someone has already said what I would've.
- My response will elicit a drawn-out argument(still working on avoiding this)
- I read a thread title that is interesting, but the course of discussion is less so.
- I start reading the last few posts of a thread, then realize I'll have to go back & read the other 100 pages in order not to repeat what has already been said.
- I read a thread with an interesting title, only to realize that the OP is following a hidden agenda of selling something or someone.
The other issue of who is behind the username, seems to be different on various forums. On some, the "invisible man/woman" seems to lack credibility, on other forums this is less so. I don't think that it is wise to put too much personal info on the 'net, yet, like many, I made that error.

Re: Why?
A number of "members" of social groups online who do not post are process servers, cops, people looking for dead beat dads, and such. It does not make much sense because CF is open to those without membership.

I am just too handsome. My beauty would distract everyone, and I would get endless pm's from cruiser forum babes.
