Okay, we'll be ready to rock. I'd offer to come get you but our dinghy is high and dry and the outboard is in the middle of an unfinished repair.

I fixed the outboard. Just something partially disconnected. Couldn't see it at night.

Re: Various Pictures from Mexico

Awesome pics. Thanks for posting'em. I'm currently working with a great Mexican guy, and talking regularly with Mexican clients on one project... and the more I hear, the more I'm interested in checking out Mexico for myself.

I might talk my wife into a week in/around Puerto Vallarta this spring. Any recommendations for a nice non-"resort" place to stay, and what spots aspiring Mexico-cruisers should visit?

Re: Various Pictures from Mexico

My family got a place in La Cruz De Huanacaxtle, a really nice 2 bedroom apartment in Ibis something-or-other condos for $75.00 a night. I like La Cruz and it's full of cruisers but not resorty and not too far by bus to the other places that most people here see, Sayulita, Puerto Vallarta, Mismaloya, Punta De Mita, etc.

Re: Various Pictures from Mexico

I was surprised at how many decent restaurants there are in La Cruz but one of our favorites was Roberto's, on the other side of the highway and up a steep flight of steps. We celebrated our daughter's birthday there and it's one I'll never forget: A spectacular view of Banderas Bay, mariachis serenading her and very fresh, authentic Mexican food.

We're looking forward to cruising Mexico again. Congratulations on the up-coming birth of your second child.

Fair winds and calm seas.

I'd definitely recommend staying in La Cruz; it's a bus ride from Puerto Vallarta, Punta Mita, and (a long-ish ride) to Sayulita. If you get closer to pulling the trigger I can get you some contacts down here.

Awesome. Thanks Eric and others for the suggestions! We have always placed great stock in such recommendations, and I will follow up with PMs if the plans come together.

Nice to see you in the street a few days ago, but recognize you once I saw the boat name from the dinghy, just back in the anchorage saw your wife this morning with my daughter lucky it's not the high of the summer.

Great shots of you & your family along with the local scenery! Enjoy these years to the utmost, they are precious, they are fleeting and they are gone before you realize it.

Huatulco gets our vote... It is truly spectacular in every way. Here are some pics we got from the past 3 months when we were anchored there...
